A few words
About Us
History
Our herstory begins with a few friends who came together to make a difference in the lives of everyday Black Women.
We are a collective of Black Women sister-friends dedicated to the mission and vision of promoting sustained mental health in the lives of Black Women so we can better care for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Black Women. We comprise a diverse collective of women across the age, religion, disability, and social-economic class demographic. We are mental health professionals, committed to reducing stress, anxiety, and depression associated with everyday living, chronic health conditions, care-giving responsibilities, grief and loss, and personal crisis for Black Women.
We desire to combat compassion fatigue, feeling overwhelmed, managing stress, anxiety, and coping with depression as experienced by Black Women with multiple, competing roles and responsibilities.
We are dedicated to creating a space for Black Women to seek refuge in rest and relaxation where visitors can find relief by the soothing sounds of the ocean and the tranquility of nature’s sounds to quiet the mind, soothe the soul, and comfort the spirt.
